New Paintings by Michael Mark follows on from his recent show at the Victorian College of the Arts depicting forms and voids through the manipulation of oil paint. The ambiguous spaces emanate light trapped beneath the surface, hovering between the real and unreal and suggesting tangible, yet elusive, glimpses of the sublime.
